Books, Tables, Coffee: Heavy Books & Pyton
Galleri Golsa is proud to present their final exhibition in their current exhibition space together with artist-run publishing project Heavy Books and the design collective Pyton.
Are books happy to be hidden away in a bookshelf? They have individual needs, just like you and me. What if they could talk to us?
This is the starting point for the exhibition. Christian Tunge, the artist and publisher behind Heavy Books, has given all his publications to the designers Tron Meyer, Henrik Ødegaard and Richard Øiestad and asked about the following: “If books could talk, what furniture would they ask you to make for them?”.
Heavy Books is an artist–run publishing project and exhibition platform based in Oslo that focuses on limited edition books, zines and other printed matter. The publishing house was founded in 2014 by Christian Tunge. Heavy Books has exhibited at all the leading art book fairs worldwide and collaborated with over 40 artists.
Pyton is a Norwegian design collective and exhibition space run by Tron Meyer, Henrik Ødegaard and Richard Øiestad. They work and curate in the intersections between design, contemporary art and architecture.
